It is their first release off of Skunk Records, the independent record label created by Bradley Nowell and, long-time friend, Miguel Happoldt. It contains numerous songs later re-recorded onto the following albums, 40 Oz. to Freedom and 1997's compilation album, Second-hand Smoke.
