Mercyful Fate - Evil / Curse Of The Pharaohs (2009 Version) (12") [Single]

"Evil / Curse Of The Pharaohs" is a 2009 single by Mercyful Fate, and was limited to only 1000 copies. Both tracks were newly recorded for Guitar Hero: Metallica.

Lars Ulrich, of Metallica, sought out the original recordings for these tracks directly from King Diamond, but the latter was unable to find the masters; instead, King Diamond was able to bring the band together, though with Bjarne T. Holm replacing Kim Ruzz on drums, to record new masters for both songs. "Evil" was ultimately used over "Curse of the Pharaohs" due to gameplay-friendliness.
