Slayer - Haunting the Chapel (12") [Single]

Haunting the Chapel is an EP released by Slayer in 1984 through Metal Blade Records. It's sound was darker and more thrash oriented than their first album, Show No Mercy, and laid the groundwork for the future direction of the band's sound.

Slayer's previous album, released the year before, sold over 40,000 copies and with the band performing newer songs "Chemical Warfare" and "Captor of Sin" live, producer Brian Slagel rushed to record and release this EP.

Subsequent re-pressings of the album would add the bonus track "Aggressive Perfector".

A1. Chemical Warfare
B1. Captor of Sin
B2. Haunting the Chapel
